Hello, Sunshine! ☀️

It’s that time of year in Louisville when the weather is warming up, patio season is upon us and outdoor events are back! Just as the trees are getting greener and the flowers are blossoming, we’re gearing up for the return of some of our favorite annual events.

This is an exciting time of the year at Cambium, as many of our clients’ events and community events take place over the next couple of months. Below are some of the events coming up that we’re involved in, either through Cambium or through our own personal community endeavors.

WFPK Waterfront Wednesday

What would summer be without WFPK Waterfront Wednesday? These free concerts on the Big Four Lawn offer a gorgeous view of the river and the Big Four Bridge. This is one of the most well-attended and recognized events in Louisville, so be sure to reserve the last Wednesday of each month from April to September for WFPK Waterfront Wednesday.

Old Louisville LIVE

Live music fans, listen up! Old Louisville LIVE is a free concert series in Central Park. Come see one of Louisville’s favorite bands, The Crashers on Friday, April 28 from 7:30-9:30 pm.

Unbridled Eve Derby Gala

Held on Oaks night, the Unbridled Eve Derby Gala is one of the most anticipated events of the year for Louisvillians, celebrities, and racing enthusiasts! On Saturday the Mint Juleps will flow, the call to the post will sound, and bets will be made, but first, come experience a night of southern grace, charm, and hospitality at its finest during the Unbridled Eve Derby Gala.

Bark & Brunch By The Bridge

Bark & Brunch By The Bridge is a free event and features food trucks, live music, as well as drink specials this Sunday from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Kentucky Humane Society will be on-site with adorable puppies, giveaways, and merch! A percentage of Sunday’s proceeds will support KHS’s lifesaving programs. Brunch + Bark By The Bridge takes place on select Sundays in April, May, June, and July.

Buy Local Fair

Mark your calendars for Saturday, June 10 from 12-6 pm because the Buy Local Fair is back! Shop hundreds of LIBA (Louisville Independent Business Alliance) businesses all in one place and help us preserve Louisville's unique community character.

Summer Fest

NuLu is excited to host SummerFest this year on July 22. Stay tuned for more details but you can be rest assured it will include craft cocktails and good times! Visit Nulu.org to stay up to date on this and other upcoming events.

The Big Stomp

The Big Stomp returns to Jones Fields this summer on Friday, August 18, and Saturday, August 19, 2023!

The Big Stomp is a festival that stomps the mental health stigma, allows for approachable acceptance, and serves Pete’s wish to make this a better world for all. With music, social activities, and mindful programming, we provide education, awareness, and resilience tools. The festival benefits the non-profit organization, The Pete Foundation.
